It would be great if it can shuffle cards too, but I'll make my discoveries one at a time.
The use for this would be for Dominion, the card game. The purpose is not for casino games. If you are not familiar with Dominion, decks start off quite thin and get thicker as the game progresses. The game shuffles quite frequently, and sometimes requires that you need to know how many cards you have (of a certain kind) during gameplay
