Anyone Tried Voice-Typing?

There is software out there for people (like me!) that don't type all that fast and all you do is talk in a mike and the text comes up on the screen in an editor.
Anyone used one? Recommendation?

Hello Tony,
Yes there are speech recognition softwares available. The most famous one and the most accurate from what I've heard is 'Dragon Naturally Speaking'.
its a bit pricey but does the job.

Yes, dragon naturally speaking is the best software one can get. I have used the demo version once and liked it a bit.

I found saying things like, 'delete', or other words a little tough. Even things like comma, fullstop can be distracting. It disrupts my flow of thoughts.

Yeah, I tried that last year when I broke my arm but it went horribly wrong.
It couldn't understand anything that I was saying so I couldn't work for a while.

I use Dragon NS too. You can train it to put in the commas and full stops for you. It requires a bit of fiddling around. But its accuracy is great.
I generally just start talking and edit the text later where needed. Running a spellchecker to get out the glitches first saves a lot of time. At the end of the day it is faster than typing, and it saves on the RSI
On occassion where there are a series of strange words, and you can't remember what you said - well don't worry. You can actually recall the recorded audio for the text, so you don't lose anything.
They have an affiliate program on it, but they are very picky who they will accept. If you want to buy it, try getting an affiliate account.
