If you haven't heard of copyscape yet, go to copyscape.com and check them out. It's is the best way of avoiding using duplicate content and checking if your content has been duplicated.

It is a must for anyone who works with articles or who has taken the time to write some unique articles on your own website.

Getting a paid account is useful if you have to check a lot, especially if you outsource it.

Oh yeah of course. As for me, I just use it to see if people are stealing content from my sites.

It's effective to buy paid account if you have a lot of articles job...
I prefer to another free article checker, although not really good...

jerlene: what if they are autoblogs scrapping content from your rss feed? can you do anything about it?

If they are putting the content on their website then it'll be visible in copyscape.

I dont mind people copying content although I've had one or two copy my entire site which is...well very lazy lol

i did joined a forum a while ago that was paying some bucks to regular poster. In terms and conditions it was written that every posting is checked by copyspace.com, so copying from other forums will get you banned.

You should mind people using your content, it's not good for SEO or Google.

Hah! that's a good ideea, most of the people copy stuff when posting on forums, i myself never thought about it, i posted for 20$ on a computer forum, it was pretty easy and started making dozens of topics with subjects like " laptop or desktop" , "macintosh or leopard" , "apple or microsoft"

and started motivating them, it was easy to make 100 posts on an emtpy forum -_- .

It's actually pretty hard for me to make that many posts if the forum is empty. This forum needs to step their game up.

forum will rock when valuable posting will start counting
