Hi

I have just uploaded my first product (about 1 month ago) it is a 1 hour free planning video with Alex jeffreys. It is a dbl opt in but unsubscribe if you want but was wondering whether I could get some unbiased opinions on it.

Also I have written my first free report for list building purposes and was wondering whether anyone could help me understand how to create process of squeeze page through to download. Can I do this as part of my blog site ie use the blog address. Sorry bit confused at present. quite proud of report though. I am also looking for someone to proof read the report.

Hi Nick, I'm a bit busy now to review your stuff.

But regarding squeeze page

You have a squeeze page with a few benefits, and a promise of a free video/report. Your opt-in form will be on this same squeeze page.
After that, the person will sign up and opt in. In the meantime, after the confirmation, you will put your link to the download page in your email, and the person goes there to pick it up. You could have another offer there, or right after the person had entered his email.

Is this any problem with the ebook picture? seems not proporsional size for me...

I'm not a fan of the cover. Maybe modernize it?
26 pages and about 12 of them are fluff. I would make the "Chapter" pages smaller or just text.
It's full of information though. Thanks for the freebie.

Hi Nick,

Your sites look great.
But regarding the squeezie - I'd suggest looking at what the big guns use and basing your design loosely on those - without plagiarising.
It looks a bit loose and spread out, maybe a little too dry.

You might also want to consider again what the entire point of a squeeze page is - to grab an email address. If people read too much text, they will probably be less inclined to opt in. The best squeeze pages are usually short and sweet because people are busy, so you want them to act quickly and not think too much about it. That means less reading and more excitement. So I would put a much stronger emphasis on what they will get by opting in and reading your book.
Don't forget that unless they already know you, the majority of people finding your site really don't care about you or what you have to say there. They care about what's in it for them.
You could bullet point all the things they will learn by getting your book. (About 5 is good). Look at the psychological effects using different colours etc. You can always split test various designs and see what works the best. Try a new one every week and monitor clicks vs bounces. Its not much work to do that.

A lot of the information on that page, I would put in a pre-warmer page such as a blog. It is kind of wasted where it is now I think.

         There looks like quite a few things you could do to improve ! But you will learn as you move along. The post the moderator left above me is a great post.

other things i noticed.

* After i optied in to receive your ebook it took me straight to your sales page.
They should be taken to a page letting them know that their ebook has been delivered to their email box. Then after close that window out take them to your sales page..

*** Hint always may your landing page and confirmation, the same color as your sales page. This helps in the visitors doesn't feel as if they are being taken some where completely new..

How can I be a product review tester?
I would like to start doing product reviews, where they send me the product, and I review it and write a summary. Do you know how I can get started with this? I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old and would love to do this from my home. Thanks in advance!
