Same with me. I don't prefer 3-ways at all. Only normal link exchanges work for me and my friends.
Its time to try out different things. Awaiting other replies on 3 way linkings..

Links are links so of course link exchanges have some value to it. One way links are definitely better though, they have more "link juice".

Mine is just backlinks and traffic. I don't really expect traffic just from blog commenting so I do it mostly for the backlinks.

Backlings would be better of course, reciprocal links is just.. mutual useless benefit, they don't work for me, i don't know if the other is benefiting from my site, but i know for sure i'm not getting anything from his .
On the other hand , backlinks are the real deal, you get traffic targeted, people see it everywhere, and they click it if they are curious or if they need it.

Reciprocal link building:
It is called two way and link exchange link building. In which you post your links on other websites and put the links on your website from same websites.
website A ---link--> website B
website B ---link--> website A
It helps to build quality backlinks because in which you exchange your links with only same or high PR websites. It is a old technique for build backlinks. People use it very less because it is good for build backlinks but it is not helpful for increase the traffic on your website, where other techniques are use for build quality backlinks and increase the traffic of your website.
