What is SEO...? What are the difference between SEO and SEM...?

I think many people already discussed about the SEO on this forum, you can easily find that definitional. Here is the definition is for SEM is known as the search engine marketing in which we advertise our product and services on the search engine and its partner websites. This model is basically work on PPC and CPC bids. This process is completely paid process.

SEM stands for search engine marketing. It is the process of gaining traffic from or visibility on search engines. The phrase is also sometimes shortened.

SEM is a term that can be commonly used alongside SEO and stands for Search Engine Marketing. Paying for exposure has changed the basic methods of Internet marketing because instead of simply using SEO to generate high rankings, websites can now pay to be listed above the "free listings" on Search Engines, increasing traffic to their sites through money and not necessarily by just utilizing natural techniques.

SEM is a broad category and you can say that SEO is a part of it. You can do SEO without intending SEM but you cannot do SEM without doing SEO first. You need to take your website to top ranks in search engine using SEO, then you can market your products by SEM.
