Rightly said... I still remember you modify the meta tags 5-10 years back and voila! you are ranking very high!

But still, choose any one that MUST be most effective!

You can link all that you want, but you can't rank if Google hasn't anything to index:)

If you can get an exact keyword domain name with that then you can rank on the first page without any backlinks depending how good keywords you have chosen.

For me it's just using your keywords in the title tags and remembering to keep it at two keywords maximum.

+1 for this!! apart from some basic onpage optimization, back link is the easiest way for a newbie to rank in google. ( I dont know about yahoo and bing, because i dont think outside of google )

I like using keywords and tags everywhere, make alot of advertising and pay for some unique visitors and let nature take its course... i don't see how i could influence my position in google ladder in another way
