Do you submit your new pages to Digg? And do you get good traffic from it? I believe that Digg used to be good but competetion has now increased a lot..

I do submit to Digg. But the traffic is not as good. I get a lot of Diggs, about 12-15 per post, but traffic ranges between 100-150 per Digg.

I used to use Digg to help with getting sites indexed quickly but I found a better way so I don't bother with it anymore.

Every time I want a new site indexed fast I add the anchor text to signatures in the Digital Point forum and the Warrior Forum.
Once the site is indexed I remove the anchor text and repeat for another site I want indexed fast.

That's kind of a good method. Will try this in near future.

Dont you think its tough these days to come up to high number of diggs/votes? Paid diggs have worsened the situation more..

I dont think so... Even if its a genuine content, it needs a push of 10-20 diggs.. And then its history.

Well the, you don't need Diggs. You just need genuine content to get Traffic (ultimately)
And you're right to some level.

The problem is that your content gets buried under thousands of other diggs at same point of time.. Thats why..

But, as you said, we can buy Diggs to give that instant boost. When the content gets on frontpage, then all things will happen naturally.

I've never bought Diggs. And their naturalism depends on the service provider.

The normal price per digg is 1-2 dollars, and you need around 150 diggs to get on the first page.
To get on the first page for free will be a little harder. I remember i posted a video once on digg and was made popular. The video recieved around 40k views in a few days. At that time I was working as a freelancer at a video site.
