I just build fan pages and groups and constantly add people to my friends list then invite them to my pages and groups. Once I get enough people I post links on the pages/groups and get my traffic.

The basic good old plan that still works! The person that follows this and comes up with the twist of his own can fetch more $$ from it!

Well now FB is getting a little more strict and restricting people from posting links on any and all walls if they make a certain amount of posts on walls in a short amount of time.

If you often posting a link, first.. your account will be detected as suspicious account then everytime you post the link, you have to fill captcha... it's one of thing that I hate from FB 
I have one account banned there btw... Now, the safety way is to make fan page and post the link there..

I don't raise any red flags because I don't only post links on my status updates, I put real statuses like questions, etc. Messages without links...

whenever it comes to traffic, every good site turns into not so good. first twitter and now FB.

Twitter hasn't been good for traffic since only a couple of months after I used them, but Facebook is still really good for traffic. I've been using them for a couple of years now and traffic is still steady as ever.

I've found that facebook will be compete google for traffic generation...
I just see several IM "superstar" tried use fb as his next traffic sources..

It's already up there with Google, I mean it has millions and millions of users so the possibilities are endless.

Yes its in form of Credits but thing is advertising in FB is not so good as that of Adwords. Still you may try and see for yourself.
