I have to say i have tried link wheel sites, and i got some resaults. It wasn`t something big, but i have to be honest and say i only made 2 or 3 wheels.
Some say link wheels don`t work. What does everyone think?

Never tried using link wheels.

Google's algorithm is constantly changing and I doubt these will be very effective in the future for getting high rankings.

No problem. I hate ebooks with a whole bunch of fluff as well so this one was really good.

Genuine sites work, but nowadays more people are turning to IM business, more blackhat techniques are being introduced to find loophole in google. now everyone knows about the web 2.0 and linking to high PR websites.
After all search engine is also a piece of code with little bit intelligent added in it and google need to take care that genuine sites are not affected everytime they decide to change algorithms.
i am just implementing link wheel with web 2.0 and high PR sites, and will inform you about my result.

There are no loopholes with Google. No one knows their algorithm, not even the workers at Google.
